To meet requirement from trading partner to be up and running on EDI version 5010 by December, 2008
- To move critical processes from JDE on AS400 to JDE Enterprise One on MS Server 2003 / Oracle using EXTOL Business Integrator
- To increase revenue processed by EDI P.Os
- To aid the client in avoiding compliance chargebacks
SITUATION
-
Client was converting from JDE on AS400 to JDE Enterprise One on MS Server 2003 / Oracle using EXTOL Business Integrator
- Client was using AS400 EXTOL Integrator and wanted to convert over to EXTOL Business Integrator on Microsoft Server platform
- Client had two critical issues to accomplish by December, 2008, in order to avoid chargebacks and/or loose the business with Wal-Mart. 1.) Convert their existing AS400 EDI processes over to Oracle and the EBI software. 2.) Implement the new 5010 EDI format for Wal-Mart transactions.
SOLUTION / DELIVERABLES
-
Provided one (1) EXTOL consultant to analyze existing maps, port maps to new EBI software, install and test all processes
- Developed and tested the business processes (BPs) that accompanied these maps
- Setup, configured, and enabled the Perimeter Server to perform the communication and routing with trading partners to which test maps were related
- Performed custom remote EXTOL EBI training
OUTCOME
-
Maps were completed and tested with the client with little or no go-live issues, in the necessary time frame
- Associated Business Processes were developed, documented and logged for reusability
- Through the course of the work and custom training the client staff was left with knowledge and documentation on how to monitor and administer the system
- Saved 20% in implementation costs by moving to 5010 process in a shorter time frame than estimated
- Saved revenue that would have been lost due to chargebacks
ACCOLADES
-
Client was very pleased with the quality of work and success of the project
- We were retained for further support and recommended to other divisions of client to help with their eCommerce project needs
