STERLING COMMERCE™ COMPANION SERVICES

SERVICES SUMMARY

For those who have implemented, purchased, or reviewed the Sterling Commerce B2Bi, enterprise integration, and/or managed file transfer products, the power and complexity of the product line is well known.

These attributes of Sterling Commerce products have spawned additional applications and services which were developed to reduce the time and cost of implementation, as well as provide enhanced value and performance in everyday use of the integration tools.

REMEDI has created companion services that allow an organization to realize greater value, and lower cost of ownership, in Sterling products and developed integration solutions. These services include:

BPdocRx is an automated Sterling Integrator/GIS BP documentation tool from REMEDI that takes client, and "out of the box", BPs and creates a single HTML document that outlines the functionality and interdependencies of each BP along with performance enhancement suggestions.

The documentation makes BPs easier to understand and troubleshoot. Detail in the documentation allows you to see what services are being used, how BPs are related, where elements are set and updated, and the looping structures of the BP.

BPdocRx is the prescription to understanding BPs developed by a variety of developers with varying styles.

The documentation is available in three levels of detail and a forth option involves a manual code review by an experienced BP developer to identify additional issues that might not be caught in an automated process.
X-Link is an automated tool that converts Gentran™ Unix Visual Maps to Application Integrator or SI/GIS maps, cutting remapping time and cost by as much as 75-80%.

This conversion engine can take the process of remapping from 16-24 hours per map to as low as 2-4 hours per map, which includes map finalization and testing time.

If you have Sterling Integrator and Gentran™ Unix in production, this service makes map conversion economical, and decommissioning Gentran™ Unix possible. Want to continue with Gentran™ Unix but have maps converted from Visual to Application Integrator format? X-link will help with that as well.
Our System Health Check Service is offered to those with installations of Sterling Commerce™ products that seek to optimize project success and infrastructure efficiency.

The System Health Check Service evaluates the client integration environment(s), and developed / implemented solutions, to make sure things are running at peak performance and products are being utilized to their fullest and most efficient capabilities.

This service is the perfect answer to confirming a solution implementation was done in a best practice manner, and for obtaining actionable information that will allow for further tuning and optimization of the installation.
A Project Audit reviews client integration projects at one or many points throughout the project before going into production.

The purpose being to confirm best practice solution definition / design, build / test approach, performance expectations, and go-live readiness, to prevent the potentially crippling effects of a solution with flawed design or that has not been developed in best practice manner.
Training is available in the client environment, with client Sterling integration product, and client specific project requirements.

This blends a classroom approach with real world integration project deliverables.

Offered as a supplement or alternative to software vendor classes, this curriculum is available in a canned format, yet can be customized by client.

In a canned manner training is more lecture, group exercise, and independent exercise in nature using pre-developed exercises that flow with the lecture content.

Performed in a custom manner, the training uses client integration project requirements as the guide for traversing the training material.

Using either approach the training encompasses a variety of Sterling courses with content from certain courses included or excluded as desired.
