COMPANION PRODUCTS

REMEDI offers companion business integration solutions and services for use with certain integration software packages. The solutions developed by REMEDI, or development partners, enhance your return on investment when used in conjunction with the associated integration product. Currently available companion products include:

X-Link

The X-Link conversion engine is an automated solution that converts Gentran Unix Visual Maps to Sterling Integrator (GIS) maps, cutting remapping time and cost by as much as 75-80%.

For organizations considering the move to Sterling Integrator, but concerned about the time and cost involved with the remapping effort in a move from Gentran Unix to Sterling Integrator, this solution makes the consideration more palatable.

Finally, there are those with Sterling Integrator and Gentran Unix in production, with the conversion stalled due to time or budget. This solution makes map conversion economical and decommissioning Gentran Unix possible.

In all of these instances the X-Link conversion engine can take the process of remapping from 16-24 hours per map, to as low as 2-4 hours per map, which includes map finalization and testing time.

Maps delivered to REMEDI are processed, converted and delivered back to the client within hours. Deliverables include the converted map and a conversion log that details the conversion events with notations about functions in Visual Maps not supported in Sterling Integrator / Application Integrator maps which require coding in the finalization process. The actual conversion process takes as little as 2.5 seconds per map.

REMEDI offers map finalization and testing services along with the conversion process. Clients may also do their own map finalization and testing if they choose.

To demonstrate the process, deliverables, and proof of concept, REMEDI will convert up to 5 maps at no cost to you.

BPdocRx

BPdocRx is the prescription to understanding and utilizing complex BPs developed by a variety of developers with varying styles.

The solution is an automated Sterling Integrator / GIS BP documentation offering from REMEDI. BPdocRx takes client, and “out of the box”, BPs and creates a single HTML document that outlines the functionality and interdependencies of each BP along with performance enhancement suggestions.

The documentation makes BPs easier to understand and troubleshoot. Detail in the documentation allows you to see what services are being used, how BPs are related, where elements are set and updated, and the looping structures of the BP.

Four levels of service are available.

BPdocRx Basic

This level provides full documentation of your entire block of BPs in a very clear and easy to understand format. The mere existence of documentation, let alone documentation that is consistent in format across all BPs, will further assist you in tracking down data and code issues. This will also decrease issue resolution time and the time needed to roll out new or enhanced business processes.

BPdocRx Advanced

This service level will provide you with summary information giving you quick access to Rule name, Rule code and ProcessData Elements with their associated values, and all of the features outlined in BPdocRx Basic.

BPdocRx Premium

This is the most detailed level of documentation offered. It includes all the features of BPdocRx Basic and BPdocRx Advanced. The Premium level provides the user insightful information about services that are optimally configured, suggestions showing where process or performance improvements can be made, and code analysis warnings where sequence starts are not named or have generic names.

BPdocRx Premium Plus

This manual service supplements all features contained in the automated documentation service levels, plus includes a full BP code review by one of our experienced BP developers. Many SI/GIS installations have highly sophisticated processes with large numbers of BPs that may or may not have been created and maintained using best practices. Also, BPs are often developed over time by a wide variety of resources using varying coding styles. In these cases, we often suggest the BPdocRx Premium Plus service. This manual BP code review can locate code and efficiency issues not caught in the automated review, with deliverables including performance enhancement suggestions to the client in a report compiled by our BP developer.

REMEDI will document up to 5 business processes at no cost to you. Contact us to give it a try!
