What is OpenText Data Integrator (BizManager)?

BizManager users who are not aware should note this solution was rebranded and retooled in 2024 as OpenText Data Integrator. The rollout included capabilities such as:

  • RESTful API Integration
  • Global Transformation Endpoints
  • Unlimited File Size Data Translation
  • Human-Readable Document Viewer

Rebranding notwithstanding, users will find numerous BizManager references and resources online. For simplicity and clarity, we primarily use the term ‘BizManager’ on this page.

So what is BizManager and why do organizations still rely on it?

OpenText BizManager is an on-premises business-to-business (B2B) data gateway. More recent versions can be deployed in the cloud via public cloud services such as Azure or transitioned to the OpenText Private Cloud. Cloud-hosted BizManager instances can connect to existing local infrastructure via RESTful web services and APIs.

BizManager helps large organizations securely exchange digital documents with external suppliers, vendors, and trading partners using:

  • EDI & Data Translation
  • Managed File Transfer (MFT)
  • Unified Interface to consolidate messaging, mapping, tracking, and auditing tools

Manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, and healthcare organizations that manage high-volume EDI/B2B integration environments continue to run their businesses on BizManager and related solutions. The decades of customized mappings, workflows, and trading partner connections found in their environments represent critical operational infrastructure.

Many of these organizations choose to evolve rather than replace the integration tools in their environments. When needed, they will engage Remedi for consulting expertise when experiencing errors that are creating chargebacks and other negative outcomes.

What Are BizLink, BizConnect, and BizMapper?

BizLink is an enterprise-level B2B integration and server gateway solution. It acts as an on-premises or hybrid data framework.

BizConnect is a lightweight, Java-based solution within BizManager designed specifically for small to medium-sized businesses to securely exchange data with up to 25 trading partners.

BizMapper is a dedicated, desktop-based data transformation and translation tool used to map and convert EDI data streams into corporate ERP systems or business applications. New solutions within the OpenText Data Integrator product line have superseded this legacy software.

What is TrustedLink?

OpenText TrustedLink is an Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled B2B translator. Available in three different versions to support a wide variety of operating systems and computing platforms.

TrustedLink enables B2B integration via a digital dialog with business partners regardless of data formats or standards. TrustedLink makes it possible to:

  • Reduce manual data entry
  • Easily convert inbound transactions to outbound transactions
  • Integrate inbound/outbound EDI transactions with back-office application
  • Extend ROI with EDI-INT capabilities

Key features of the various TrustedLink products include:

    • Visual Mapper—Combining exceptional flexibility and functionality with unsurpassed ease of use, the Visual Mapper ensures faster business partner deployment and more simplified exchanges of standard business documents in the formats and protocols you require.
    • Transaction Center—This powerful document management area provides users with access to all inbound and outbound documents. It also tracks which transactions have been processed at any given moment. This single point of control for transactions allows users to effortlessly administer and monitor all aspects of their EDI environment.
    • Advanced ERP integration—Simple implementation is a given with customized application integration services for leading ERP applications including SAP, Oracle, Microsoft and Infor.

Support levels for TrustedLink depends on the specific version and platform in use.
