Fast Food Franchise Distribution Cooperative
Migration from IBM Gentran:Server Windows to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Consulting and Staffing Services
As the supply chain and distribution cooperative for a famous fast-food franchise, this customer must deliver highly perishable ingredients in the fastest possible time at the lowest cost in order to succeed. After decades of supporting their growth, the cooperative’s IBM Gentran Server: Windows-based environment reached the point where it could not deliver the processing flexibility, visibility, or speed necessary to support and supply member franchisees.
Drawing on a years-long staffing relationship and their knowledge of the customer’s business requirements, Remedi’s account management team proposed that the client migrate their EDI to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, and extend its functionality and simplify the user experience with the Remedi Framework solution. Following a series of demos for internal stakeholders with Remedi’s EDI consultant, the customer signed off on Remedi’s software and services proposal.
Sterling Integrator’s translation capabilities and streamlined, any-to-any, data processing, coupled with Framework’s added visibility layers and simplified interface, continue to improve the customer’s profitability and efficiency in several ways. These include accelerated order processing times, reduced delivery errors and delays, and document visibility and traceability.
