I am not sure if you have noticed, but late July through mid August seems to have been prime time vacation season. A lot of people have been out of the office and difficult to contact. It seems like every email I have sent during that period of time came with an out of office response. As we enter the second half of August, I am slowly starting to be able to reach people by phone and receive quick replies to my emails. I just figured out why.
Back to school means back to business!
My kids went back to school last week and, with that annual ritual, it seems like business is starting to get back to normal. With the turn of August to September comes one of my favorite times of the business year, budget planning for the end of this year and the beginning of next year. This is the time of year that we have great conversations with our clients about what projects they have planned for the rest of the year to use up that extra budget money for 2014, and what projects they are budget planning for to utilize all of that new budget money available for 2015.
