A New Perspective on Holiday Shopping

When I came to REMEDI this past summer, I was excited for the opportunity to work in a professional setting and do meaningful work for the first time in my career. Cleaning tables and preparing food was about to be a thing of the past, and I wasn’t complaining. I had a very basic understanding of EDI and how it impacted the economy and business world, but I was interested to see exactly what REMEDI’s role in the process was. I can remember looking through the CRM my first day and seeing a lot of company names I recognized. As I continued to scroll through the list, more and more brands popped up, including some that I use a lot in my life. When I realized REMEDI played a big role in the EDI department of so many impactful brands, I knew what I was doing could actually make a difference.

As I shop for the upcoming holiday season, I can’t help but recognize the variety of products on shelves that are made by REMEDI’s customers. Aside from typical products for personal hygiene, medication, and food, REMEDI also works with companies making products that are sure to be popular this holiday season such as designer clothes, video games, and even new cars. REMEDI enjoys working with companies that make these products and many more. Seeing companies place their trust in REMEDI for a role as critical as EDI was a big testament to REMEDI’s work quality and talent for me.

When I saw trucks or trains, I took them at face value, not appreciating the careful planning and precision that goes into the fulfillment of customer orders from start to finish. Since I started at REMEDI, I have a new appreciation for the process and see the value behind good EDI talent within a company. Now whenever I see a truck on the highway with a large logo on the side, I know other companies also put in work to make those products hit the shelves we all browse for the holidays.
