REMEDI Announces 2011 Results, Accomplishments, and Milestones

Posted by Tracy Loetz on Mar 26, 2012 6:00 AM

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) March 26, 2012 - RemediElectronic Commerce Group, a Business and Data Integration organization, announced today that it surpassed prior performance for the third consecutive year. Remedi provides consulting, software, training, managed services, and recruiting & placement solutions to a variety of industry leaders throughout the US and Canada. A broadened focus to include B2Bi, EDI, and EAI, ETL, MFT, Commerce, data integration & warehouse, and business intelligence technologies has contributed to the company’s steady growth. In addition, Remedi’s growth included the expansion of sales, marketing, and sourcing staff; strengthening of key partnerships, increased delivery of managed services, and ongoing integration thought leadership initiatives.

“2011 was a good year for our clients, especially over some of the challenges of previous years. With ever increasing competition, energy costs, worldwide political and economic volatility, man-made and natural supply chain interruptions, clients continued their drive towards implementing solutions that increased productivity, efficiency, visibility and value. For many, this included modern stand-alone B2B/EAI/MFT solutions which provide good vertical functionality and performance. For a great number of others, they were part of the steady migration from multiple stand-alone solutions for MFT, B2B and enterprise integration to comprehensive integration suites delivered via an on-premise, as a service, outsourcing approach, or some combination of the three. It is in these comprehensive integration suite deployments where Remedi saw much of its efforts directed throughout the year," according to President Brad Loetz. "At the end of the day which ever route clients determine is best for them, stand-alone integration solutions or comprehensive integration suites, they have to have the ability to offer cost-effective, scalable integration solutions in order to remain relevant and viable in a fiercely competitive environment. Remedi is pleased to offer our clients assistance with these challenges."

Although it has been a while since I was involved in the techy parts of EDI, I still remember getting implementation guides from trading partners that were so different you questioned what part of the standards were standard. We did some very creative things in the map and pre and post processing to get a customer the data they demanded. Read More

Posted by Tracy Loetz on Apr 26, 2011 10:09 AM

Last week, I wrote about working remote and how a consultant can work with their client to accomplish that.  This week, I am addressing it from the client point of view.

As a former consultant who has both worked remote and on-site, and a current business owner who has associates that work both remote and on-site, I see both sides. Read More

Working Remote - How Can I Convince My Client?

Posted by Tracy Loetz on Apr 19, 2011 9:24 AM

I follow several EDI and data integration groups and occasionally there is a topic that gets a ton of comments from group members.  The latest one is whether or not it is feasible to have an EDI or data integration consultant work remote versus on-site.   This is has been an ongoing topic for many many years.  As a matter of fact, my first project after starting Remedi was remote, and that was almost 17 years ago!

Remedi Electronic Commerce Group Finishes 2010 With Record Performance

Posted by Tracy Loetz on Feb 24, 2011 3:17 AM

Columbus, OH (PRWEB) February 24, 2011  — Remedi Electronic Commerce Group, a Business and Data Integration organization providing consulting, software, training, managed services, and recruiting & placement solutions, announced today that it bested prior performance for the second consecutive year on a variety of key metrics for which the company measures. Contributing to its success was a broadening of focus from B2Bi, EDI, and EAI, to include ETL, data integration & warehouse, and business intelligence technologies. Other growth factors include the expansion of sales, marketing, and sourcing staff, strengthening of key partnerships, increased delivery of managed services, and ongoing integration thought leadership initiatives.

calendar“2010 was a bounce back year for most given challenges of the Great Recession. To combat challenges and prepare for a return to growth, Remedi partnered with clients on a wide spectrum of initiatives. For many, assistance included EDI managed services to accommodate growing integration requirements without growing staff.  Other projects involved gaining leverage against competitors through upgrades to integration environments and efficiency enhancements through automation. Our work with clients allowed for flexibility in an ever changing environment providing variable staff through consulting, staff supplementation, and managed services. Assistance on the recruiting front also proved valuable to clients as they sought to expand full-time staff when needs trended long term” according to President Brad Loetz.  “By serving clients interested in utilizing business and data integration tools, training, and technologists, we have been able to help clients get a jump on the recovery and continue doing more with less resulting in various operational, financial, and performance related successes in 2010”.
