Anniversaries...A Time To Look Back And Remember

As we have been touting for a few weeks now, our company 20 year anniversary was this week.  To commemorate the event, we created a Remedi timeline that goes through the milestones of our company, such as when associates joined us, when we moved offices, and when partnerships were formed.  While Brad and I were working on the timeline, we were reminded of many memories and fun stories that we don't often think about.

Muddle

I'm writing this post while on a wonderful family trip to France and Italy. One of the most important experiences I want my kids to have is traveling to other countries and feeling comfortable doing so.  It is such a learning experience to muddle your way through the language and the transportation.  

How could I use this experience and write a blog post?  Ahh, that's it....muddling.

Do you remember when calling your customers, suppliers, and transportation carriers for their EDI specs or informing them of system changes was the primary form of communication?  Then it moved on to emailing them back and forth.  After that, there were several websites that gathered the pertinent information, usually for a particular industry, and you could "Sign up and be connected to all your trading partners". This never seemed to work as well as everyone hoped.

To inspire a topic for my blog posts, I usually draw on what's been going on in the news, at the office, or at home.  If your house is anything like ours, the Olympics has taken over our TV time, and for that matter, our sleep time.  In the last few years, our family has become a hockey family, and I thought it would be fun to come up with similarities between the Men's USA Olympic Hockey Team to a team on a consulting engagement.
