B2B Data Integration and Transformation Blog

Have you ever worked on a project that seems to have urgent changes and items that need to be addressed constantly?  As an EDI/data integration consultant, every project varies and some just don’t seem to go as smoothly as others.  This week I had the privilege of being called to a 'hot' client meeting, an 'SOS' meeting, the 'sky is falling' meeting by a client team member.

After having been out of the office in the morning, I returned to what some would call “email blow up”. I counted them...93 emails all authored by one person, as if each time enter was hit the person thought of one more detail, thought, and opinion to convey in the mail chain.  You ask if I read each mail? Goodness no, I know this author way too well to bother reading until I see a good 15-20 minutes of total silence and no new incoming mail. Then I open the last mail, scroll to the bottom and start reading up.

Happy holidays from REMEDI!  It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already over and we are into the mad rush of the Christmas and New Year's holidays.  If your office is anything like ours, this is the season of changing schedules and rotating team members.  A lot of people in our office are taking half days or long weekends to try to get some shopping done or just to use some vacation time before the end of the year and enjoy extended stays with family.

As a follow up to my blog in October, I wanted to share some updates with you regarding the IBM InterConnect 2015 conference.   I have received some emails and some of our team has fielded some questions regarding the changes in the conferences, so I thought I'd give you a brief update.

We have posted in past blogs the different challenges that exist when seeking full-time or contract talent in a competitive, or less than competitive, environment.  In our experience, the market for data integration professionals has become decidedly more competitive. From our position, client demand has risen sometimes delaying data and business integration projects that could simply be delayed no longer. Also, the financial positions of many organizations have gotten better and many are seeking resources for 2015 projects. 

Since many of us are winding down the work week in preparation for the holiday and to entertain family, travel, or just watch football I thought I'd share a few fun facts about the Thanksgiving.  While these aren't necessarily related to B2B, MFT, or EDI sometimes we need to rest our brain on the day before a holiday!  So staying in the spirit of Tracy's fun blog yesterday...
