Having been in the recruiting field since 2006, I have found this time of the year to be one of the best to find great talent. Generally speaking, people tend to be more available in January compared to other months.  Fiscal years usually end 12/31 and the new budget year is about to start.  This matters because projects for the year usually end around Thanksgiving and hiring really picks up the first full week of January.  New projects that are kicking off or having more money in your budget for the new fiscal year means you can add to your staff to make sure you hit your deadlines.

Our blogs will be taking on a bit of a different theme from time to time in 2017 and we're going to kick it off with a chance for you to win a $10 Starbucks gift card!  Over the past month, I've been taking the time to review emails, posts, tweets, group discussions, and conversations you may have had with someone on the REMEDI team.  In 2017 we plan to use that information to answer your questions.  And, we would also like to hear from you directly!  What would you like to learn more about?  What was the last EDI, MFT, B2B, etc topic that you Googled?

We are quickly approaching the end of 2016 and getting ready to ring in the New Year!  This can be a very busy time for all of us with company holiday events, wrapping up end of the year business projects, and putting together strategic plans for a successful new year.    This is also the time of the year that most people review how the current year has impacted their business and what factors will propel them to greater heights in the coming season.

Every business has its reasons to modernize their EDI environment or to wait. I first joined Remedi in 2005. Since then, as an account manager, I have supported and sold EDI/integration solutions to many clients. The majority of these clients are IBM Sterling customers using a version of Gentran or Sterling B2B Integrator. Some of these legacy Gentran accounts have been using Gentran for 25 years and counting. So why haven’t these legacy Gentran users upgraded or modernized?
