The Lean concept is often associated with manufacturing where waste, its elimination and continuous improvement is concerned.  Recently, I have learned more about how the concept is being applied to organizations of all types and am left thinking how this can be applied at Remedi...for and with our clients.   

Our desire for continuous improvement has always been a core value since the founding of our company in 1994, it's what we do for our clients.  We have found many that believe, "good is the enemy of best".  But seldom do organizations and their associates take it to the level of those in REAL pursuit of Lean. 

So how might Lean concepts apply to Integration?   

Have you been inspired by someone brilliant recently?  Spring has arrived on the calendar and it reminds me of a conference I was invited to this time last year by friends that I respect in the business community.  We are always looking for opportunities to sharpen our business acumen and extend our circle of influence. We knew one of the presenters was cited by Meetings and Conventions magazine’s as “One of the best keynote speakers ever heard”, putting him in the same category as Bill Gates, General Colin Powell and Tony Robbins.

Our blog themes of late have been loosely connected...Shopping for Integration Software, Maximizing Your Investment in Integration Software, and Non-traditional Integration Suite Use Cases...to name a few.  Within each of these blogs, and in your everyday business/personal life, you are confronted with decisions.  There are many decision models to utilize when you are presented with life's forks in the road.  Here is one often utilized by Remedi and it's clients.

Recently, we have been talking about Integration Suites in a variety of ways from Maximizing Your Investment, to Use Cases, and what to consider when you’re Shopping for Integration software.  But IBM has recently filled a gap in their portfolio with the purchase of Aspera, an MFT software provider.  I announced the acquisition in a previous blog, IBM Acquisition Expands MFT Portfolio, but what does that mean for you?
