"You want me to do what?" That's the thought that runs through my mind each time I'm told "you are going to write a blog". This time when they said it, they meant it. All I could say was "seriously, what could I possibly contribute that anyone would be interested in reading".

2014 marks an important milestone for REMEDI, it's our 20th Anniversary!  Over the last 20 years REMEDI has provided information to our customers, consultants, and business partners via many venues.  The years have brought a whirl wind of change regarding how businesses communicate.  We have gone from paper postcard mailers, to newsletters, to social media....

Whether you’re an IT Executive, B2B Integration professional, or EDI Analyst; having the crucial conversations with your peers or management regarding your B2B Integration environment can be challenging.   I recently attended a training class on personality types and crucial conversations.  I must admit, I learned a lot about myself and areas I could improve on in both my professional and personal life.

Two recent events prompted some reflection on Electronic Payments, you know. Financial EDI.

We were recently asked by a client how they might take greater advantage of their B2B Integration investment.  In addition to reducing integration tool overlap, utilization of AS2 and mail boxing communications, and utilizing your integration suite as an Enterprise Service Bus, I tend to gravitate also towards lower hanging fruit like FEDI.  This is of course due to my past life as a Product Manager in Corporate Treasury Management.   Managing the Bank's Financial EDI offering was among the products for which I was responsible.  In those days, and until somewhat recently, only a very small fraction of the EDI capable made payments electronically...EDI or ACH.
