Over the past few years, we have quickly seen cloud storage become a huge part of our personal and professional lives. For those unfamiliar with cloud storage, it’s essentially an intangible hard drive that allows storage and access to data for a variety of users. Cloud storage grants many benefits to daily tasks, mobile devices, and web services we all use. Whether we know it or not, we’re using a cloud when collaborating online with co-workers, using email, and even streaming entertainment at home. Such profound innovations seem to find their way into almost all aspects of our lives in time, so I was surprised to read in this article, by Scott Koegler, that only 8% of billing transactions are cloud based.

Transform And Translate - A Key Component Of B2B Integration

In my last blog, Mapping - A Key Component Of B2B Integration, I focused on the different IBM® mapping tools and the products they typically work with.  This time, I will talk about the transformation and translation products.

While mapping is the tool to define how data will be formatted from a source file to a destination file, transformation and translation is the process of executing the instructions in the map to produce the destination file.  

Transformation and translation are often used interchangeably, although I personally think of them as slightly different.

REMEDI Rolls Up their Sleeves to Fight Hunger and Sparks Change in Our Community!

Last month Remedi partnered with Mid-Ohio Foodbank to fight hunger and raise awareness.  Our office staff volunteered by sorting and packing food that was going to be delivered to hungry seniors in the community.  Nearly 20% of the food received by the Mid-Ohio Foodbank has to be sorted and packed before it can be delivered to the people that are in need.
